COMMITMENT COMMITTEE

An E. J. McKay engagement commits the firm's resources and credibility to represent and advise a client in one or a series of complex transactions, quite often across multiple jurisdictions. We take each engagement decision with the utmost care, and employ a procedure to ensure the success of our work.

The partner who originates the client relationship will act as the proposed engagement sponsor and present the case to a Committee comprised of partners from at least three offices, who will evaluate the suitability of the opportunity. Some of the questions the Committee asks are:

  1. Is E. J. McKay well positioned to add significant value to the client?
  2. Does this organization share the core values of our firm?
  3. What are the terms and conditions of the proposed engagement?

We take a consensus approach in the Commitment Committee, and any engagement the firm enters into represents the unanimous support by the firm's partners and the resources E. J. McKay commands locally and globally.

Global Reach
E. J. McKay is a leader in China related cross-border transactions. Via offices and strategic partnerships in twenty-three countries and thirty financial centers around the world, the firm possesses unparalleled global relationships and execution capabilities.
